For it is still not as undisputedly enchanting as Melbourne, but still it has got its own perks, that deserve a page or two in my journal.įirst stop, P. Here is this blog post to make up for it. Hence, I owe New South Wales (and Sydney, particularly) an apology. Yet, just like every other thing in life, you realise what you have lost, how much you miss something, when you no longer have that thing, when you are distanced half an ocean away. Or maybe, it just does not have the same core, Maybe it is the squared, almost uniformed buildings in the city that were build rather claustrophobically close in various shades of brown maybe it is the people, the over-crowding people maybe it is the heat, the you-can-walk-around-jacketless-in-mid-winter kind of heat. I thought back then, even with its blue skies, blue waters, and (of course) Blue Mountain, the place just does not put enough charm on me the way Melbourne does. This post was born out of the times I spent reminiscing on a short winter trip I took to Sydney (and around) last year.
